Preserving Thai Traditions: Bathing Buddha Images and Paying Respect to Elders

Miss Warangkana Kongsil, Director of the Central Division, along with the division’s staff, participated in the activity “Preserving the Beauty of Thai Traditions during the Songkran Festival 2026” on April 7, 2026, at the Hall of Honor, 1st Floor, Building 32, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The event was held to uphold Thai cultural traditions on the occasion of the Thai New Year festival.

The event featured a ceremonial bathing of Buddha images and the statue of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana to bring good fortune. There was also a traditional water-pouring ceremony to seek blessings from respected elders, including Associate Professor Dr. Chuangchote Phanthuwet, Associate Professor Dr. Rueadet Kerdwichai, Associate Professor Dr. Chutikarn Srivibul, Assistant Professor Dr. Anati Tappinta, and Associate Professor Dr. Komol Paisarn, as part of the auspicious Songkran celebrations.
